1. Pricing

Prices shown on the product pages are per item, excluding VAT and excluding delivery. Both VAT and delivery costs will be add at the checkout page. VAT will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of invoice.

2. Product Description

We take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system.

We guarantee that all products available for purchase are genuine productions of the manufacturers from which they are advertised. The products are described on the specific product pages on the website as accurately as possible via photography and description. We make every effort to ensure colours appear as realistic as possible. However, due to the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers and different digital devices we cannot guarantee exact colour depiction. Every care is taken to ensure descriptions and measurements are accurate, however slight variations may occur. Please be aware that the actual colour of products you see on the screen may vary to those of your ordered. If you are uncertain, please request upholstery & finish samples.

3. Order

By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. By placing an order via this website you are making an offer to ShowKasa to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in your order.

Once you have placed an order we will send you a confirmation that your order has been received but this is not a confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods has been accepted. A contract between you and ShowKasa for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and dispatched to you. Once your order has been dispatched, the completion of the contract between ShowKasa and yourself takes place.

We cannot fulfill any obligations due to the following reasons:

  1. The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
  2. Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
  3. The identification of a pricing or product description error
  4. Customers who fail to reach any order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions
If there are any problems with your order we will contact you either by email or by phone.

We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any time.

4. Payment

The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus VAT and delivery.

Customers are required to pay in full at date of order. The full balance will be required prior to dispatch.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Switch/ Maestro, Visa Delta, American Express, Pay Pal and Bank Transfers as valid payment methods. Your transaction will be processed in a completely secure environment. Your credit card will be charged at the point of ordering or in the case of 'made to order' items once your order has been confirmed with our supplier.

International credit card providers or banks will determine the exchange rate, and may add an additional processing or administration charge which the cardholder will be liable to pay. 

5. Security

We feel confident that credit card information entered on our site will not be accessed by any unauthorised person or company. Our secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption uses 128-bit encryption. In addition to this, once your order has been transferred to our order processing system all credit card details are removed from the website as an added precaution.

Your browser will go into secure mode as soon as you click to go into the checkout or as soon as soon as you login. You can check that you are shopping in a secure environment by looking for locked padlock icon at the bottom of your browser screen. We do not store credit or debit card details after an order has been processed. This information will be destroyed once the transaction is completed.

We cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website. 

6. Privacy and Data Protection

When you place your order we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address and credit and debit card details. A contact telephone number may also be required so that we may contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order or for the delivery company. All this is necessary to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.

Our site uses secure server software to protect your information whenever you place an order or access your account information. This software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us to minimise the risk of this being intercepted before it is received by us. We also follow a tight security procedure as required under UK Data Protection Legislation (the Data Protection Act 1998) to protect the information that we store about you from unauthorised access.

Our cookies do not contain any personal information about you and are used only to determine your browser and user preferences for our site. This helps us to provide you with the service that you desire and to enhance your browsing experience. However, if you prefer, you can set your browser software to not accept cookies. You should still be able to use our site without cookies enabled.

All the information we collect via our website or through correspondence with you may be used for the following purposes:
  1. Dealing with orders and accounts.
  2. Sending newsletters, product updates, promotions or amendments to the site (ONLY if requested).
  3. Research.
  4. Process payments, credit reference checking and fraud detection.
Any changes to our privacy policy will be posted on this site so that you may ensure that you are fully informed of your rights and can notify us of any changes to your preferences.
If for any reason, you are unsure about the personal and account information we are holding in your name, please contact us. We will review your file and update the records if required.

7. Delivery

Product prices listed online do not include shipping as this price varies depending upon the nature of the product, place of manufacture and the ultimate delivery destination. A summary of all costs including shipping, duties & sales taxes (GST/VAT) are presented to you before you agree to purchase.

Before ordering from us, it is your responsibility to determine your full ability to receive the product, including ensuring that the product ordered can pass freely through any passageways/doorways/stairways into the desired room of placement. We do not accept responsibility for any complications during delivery due to structural layout. We also do not accept responsibility for missed deliveries, or complications arising from an incorrect delivery address, or phone number. All additional charges for these delivery complications, or for rescheduling delivery will be added to your order and charged to you. 

We sell some large and heavy products that on health and safety grounds require more than two people to deliver. We require notification at the time of ordering if your access is difficult or if you require delivery above the ground floor. The standard two-men delivery service covers delivery to a ground floor room only. Extra charges will be payable for a delivery with difficult access, e.g above or below ground floor and where more than two people are required. The use of a lift may be helpful but dimensions of the lift will be required and a site survey may be necessary at a small additional cost. Please contact us for more details.

We reserve the right to use the carrier/freight forwarder we deem most appropriate for delivery.

When your order is delivered, it is your responsibility to immediately check the condition of the product before the delivery company departs. If you find the condition unsuitable, we will cover return shipping costs. However, if you accept the condition and sign off on the delivery, we will not be responsible for return shipping costs should you wish to return the item. 

We take responsibility for each purchase until its delivered to you. We require a signature for the goods, at which point the responsibility passes to you.

8. Worldwide Delivery

We take orders from overseas customers. Delivery charges are calculated automatically depending on your country and the combined weight of the items ordered. Once you have placed items in your shopping basket and proceeded to the 'checkout' you will be presented with the delivery charges.

Products delivered to destinations outside the EU may be subject to taxes, fees, levies or other charges as a result of local legislation or customs formalities. The recipient of your order is responsible for all customs formalities for the import of the products, and will be required to pay any additional charges for international delivery, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges that may be levied outside the EU. 

The recipient of the goods, not the person placing the order, will receive a separate request for payment of these charges. If you’re ordering products to be delivered to someone else, please ensure they’re aware that they’ll be responsible for these additional charges.

Unfortunately we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, so we’re unable to offer any assistance on these processes. We advise that you check the import charges applicable in any non-EU country before ordering products to be delivered there.

9. Manufacturing Lead Time

Products may be in stock, made to order or bespoke. Manufacturing Lead Times vary according to your product selection and the time of year. The delivery time which is shown on the website and on your receipt, does not include the additional time taken for transaction processing and product delivery, however upon your order we will be able to give you more accurate information about lead times. 

We do not hold responsibility for product that is delayed during manufacture. Purchasers are asked to understand that many of the pieces sold on the website are made to order/bespoke especially and therefore delays may occur.

Please ask for an estimated lead time before you order if timing is an issue for you.

10. Storage

Goods can be stored free of charge for up to one week once they arrive into our warehouse. If the buyer is unable to take delivery after one week has passed, a charge of storage costs may be added to the final invoice. The cost of storage will be increased for large and bulky furniture orders. Responsibility for insurance passes to the buyer upon acceptance of the delivery.

11. Returns and Cancellations

Should you cancel an order prior to dispatch, you are required to notify ShowKasa via email within 7 days of the date of order via email. If you have received the goods after you cancel your order please contact us. We will require you to send the goods back to us in the original packaging at your own cost and risk or we will arrange a collection. Once the goods are returned to us in the condition they left us a refund will be made using the original payment method, less any delivery and/or collection costs.

Please see the Claims section to understand our requirements in the event of a claim for faulty or damaged goods.

12. Claims

Customers are requested to inspect their product immediately upon delivery. The return or replacement of product that are found damaged or defective upon arrival will be the responsibility of ShowKasa if reported within a 24 hour period from the time the product is received. These reports should be sent to info@showkasa.com with images and other relevant information that may act as proof of damage.

With the exception of defects, all sales of made to order and bespoke products are final and no return will be accepted. For products that are not made to order or bespoke and belong to a category of goods where there is a continuous flow of production of standardized units, then returns will be accepted provided ShowKasa is notified of intent to return within seven working days from the time of delivery. 

Customers receiving damaged product are eligible for product refund or replacement. Proof of damage must be notified upon receipt of product. ShowKasa will manage the collection and bear the associated costs of return of damaged product and replacement product.

13. Legal Jurisdication

This agreement shall be subject to English law and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all claims or disputes arising in relation to, out of or in connection with this agreement.
